As long as you mobile device is connected to the WiFi, your dot should be able to as well. However, some hotels have a sign on screen when you connect that may hinder the ability for it to connect. The property I work at does not have the welcome sign on screen and my echo dot connected just fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello! The Echo Dot has Dual-band Wi-Fi that supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 and 5 GHz) networks. At the Hotel open the Alexa app and open the devices section. Under wireless, select change and hit continue. When you see the orange light on your Echo Dot select continue and select the Wi-Fi network you want to connect. If the Wi-Fi network does not have a captive portal, enter the password you were provided. A separate web browser should open automatically if the network has a captive portal. You will need to enter the password or other login credentials required by the Wi-Fi network such as a hotel room number. You will most likely have to accept the terms and conditions to connect.
