• I never found a working 2way intercom but I could “announce whatever” to the other echo back and forth like a walkie talkie

• Hi bil, thank you for your question. You can use your Echo Dots as as room-to-room intercom using the "Drop In" feature. Each device must also have Drop In enabled, which you can do through the Alexa app by going to Devices > Echo and Alexa > [device name] > Gear icon > Communication > Drop In. Once that's completed, ask Alexa to "drop in" on a room or device. Say "Alexa, hang up" or "Alexa, end drop in" when you're finished. Hopefully this information is helpful. Have a great day!
