• Yes, like all Amazon Echo devices, the Echo Flex requires a wifi internet link. Without a connection to the internet, you won't be able to do much "sorry I can't seem to reach the internet right now".

• Hi there, This works just like any other Amazon Echo. You will need Wifi to connect the device to and it plugs into a regular wall outlet. No other subscriptions needed. Hope that info helps.
