My Echo connects to my home network and my two robot vacs (a Shark & a Samsung) connect to the same network and I can use the flex to start, stop & monitor the vacuums. I would imagine the lights should work the same way.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn't have to be plugged into the same outlet as long as it is connected to the same wireless network. Mine is in my garage and can do the same things as the Echo units I have inside the house.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will need the Alexa App on your phone and WiFi to connect the Echo Flex. Then it should work with your smart plugs to turn off the lights. I have even used Bluetooth to connect a small Vizio television that Alexa will turn off/ and on through the app.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would check with Amazon on what Smart plugs work with Alexa and Echo Flex. I do know that through Bluetooth Alexa and the Echo Flex I have along with the Alexa app will turn off, or on a Vizio television in a bedroom.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your lights are operated with an Alexa device currently and you plug this in it will operate the same as you are operating now. If your lights are on a power switch only then no. This device is another version of Alexa devices it does not control power or have a receptacle for appliance 110 volt power.
