“Does the Echo Plus have the same speakers as the Echo 2? Quite a number of reviews on the Echo 2 are critical of the sound quality and that it is inferior to the original Echo. I am hoping that Amazon improved the sound from Echo 2.”

• The speakers are larger and work with Dolby giving you richer bass. It may sound different because of the bass but I find the Gen 2 to be just fine.

• I have the echo plus and the quality of sound is great! I haven’t had any problems with the speaker and playing music. I always have a nice clear sound

• I read all the Gen 2 devices, when released, had poor sound issues. I understand there has been at least two software updates and the reviews I now see have been extremely positive. The updates have corrected the poor sound quality and users are very happy with the sound.
