A:Answer Each Echo device can be used separately to retrieve information, media, and control devices. However, Alexa can only stream a source to one device at a time unless you use the audio group function in the Alexa app to listen to the same stream. For example, my wife and I can not access different artists or genres on Amazon Prime Music on two devices at the same time but I can access music from Pandora while she can access music from Amazon Prime Music or Spotify. Alexa will ask if you want to switch devices if you ask for the same stream but then you get to sleep on the couch if you steal her stream.
