• You do not need a dot for the Echo Show. You just need the Alexa app on your phone to use.

• Hello! You do not need an Echo dot to make the Echo Show 5 work. The Echo Show 5 is a smart speaker with a screen, so it will do all of the same things an Echo Dot would do and more! Once you set up the device, you would be able to link any Ring cameras, make video or phone calls, send messages, access recipes, listen to music, and so much more with just the Echo Show 5.
