You do not have to have two devices to use the drop in feature. When I purchased my first one I was able to use the app for that one device. If you decide to purchase other devices, they will all have different names.. ie 1st Echo Show.. 2nd Echo Show.. ect. I am just making these names up, but you will be able to assign each one a different name. You will use that assigned named to drop in on a particular device.

You can drop into any of your devices, screened or non screened (only difference is non screened will be like an intercom and you can just listen) and you will be able to communicate through the app on your phone and the device in your home. To do this, follow these steps: 1.Open the Alexa App 2. Tap on communicate (speech bubble icon on home screen) 3.
