“Can you use the Echo Show 8 without internet, IE: can you connect by using hotspot from your phone to get online access? I love mine; my friend does not have internet at this time and was unsure about getting this product before her internet is setup.”

Go to the settings menu on your phone, and search for a Wi-Fi hotspot. Copy the network name and hotspot password. Open the Alexa app . Select Devices . Select Echo & Alexa, and then select your Amazon Tap. Select Change next to Wi-Fi Network. Choose from a list of available Wi-Fi networks. Scroll down and select Use this device as a Wi-Fi hotspot. Select Start, and then enter the network name and password and select Connect. Go to your phone's settings menu, and turn on your Wi-Fi hotspot.

You can connect it to a hot spot, but depending on how strong the signal is, you may have trouble with it staying connected or performing all of the functions quickly and properly.
