• Yes you can I have my nest thermostat and any Alexa device will be able to adjust the temperature for you.

• Depends on your Thermostats. I have mine connected to the show and it seems to work well for the major functions. Turn up, turn down, change mode. The interface between my Honeywell and Alexa is limited but it works fine.
