Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The echo show 8 can connect to the internet through one of two browsers that are offered. However, it's not a simple process to get to a specific webpage, as you have to use the on screen keyboard. I was surprised to learn that Youtube does work on the show 8, as other reviews had claimed that it did not. Maybe there's been a recent software update, but it works fine on ours. As far as apps are concerned, there are a myriad of "Alexa Skill apps" that are installed and can be enabled if you so choose, but not general apps that we're used to on iOS or Android, if that's what you're asking. We have been pleasantly surprised with all of the functionality that we have found with our echo show. A great purchase!
