Yes, you will be able to video call both to and from this device as long as you have the Alexa app downloaded and logged in on your smartphone and she has your phone number loaded as a contact in the Show 8. From the Alexa app, you would tap Communicate in the bottom of the screen and then Call to begin a call to her Echo Show 8. You can also now link Skype and/or AT&T accounts to the Echo Show 8 allowing for her to be able to call out to any one using her AT&T or Skype account if she has once of those providers.
