Hello Angie! I am pretty sure you could take it to another country, just make sure the voltage is the same as in the U.S. (You can usually find this information on the manual or in the spot where you connect the cable to your speaker, if that makes sense), otherwise you will have to buy a 'voltage converter plug' or something along those lines. Also, as with any Sonos product, you need to have reliable internet being sent from a router, otherwise it won't work. Since this product doesn't have bluetooth and it can't be added, you will also need a tablet, computer, or smartphone to control the speaker or 'send' music to it. I hope this helps!!
