YouTube Kids cannot be (easily) installed on this device. There are ways to sideload the YouTube Kids app, but Amazon is very good about blocking most methods of sideloading apps. If you are looking for a good kids tablet, look for the Samsung Kids tablet, which will allow you to run YouTube Kids inside a kid-safe environment. Or go for the Amazon Fire Kids, which is basically this device with a nice bumper and a year's subscription to FreeTime, a kid-safe, curated app environment.
