The Amazon Fire requires you to sign into an existing Amazon account or create a new account. However, since this is intended for a young child, my concern would be that many of the preloaded apps are Amazon services that cost money. If you are worried about purchases being made using the credit card information on file, their is a way to turn off in-app purchasing through the tablet settings and you can utilize the required account verification before allowing purchases to be made.
