“I need a tablet for my kids to do schoolwork that is mostly web-based and apps. Currently they are using my iPad And I do not want to share any more. Is there anything that this doesn’t do that I would be missing? They are K and 2nd grade.”

This is android based technology, but I have 3 Fire tablets, one older and 2 newer. I buy them because they're a good price, a good product, and my friend's 3 kids have never managed to destroy them. Hardy, affordable and powerful. They have never failed to deliver.

I am not sure which apps they use for their schooling, so I cannot say for certain that those apps are available in the app store. The Fire tablets use an Amazon app store for apps, but your iPad uses the Apple app store. Any Apple specific apps, such as FaceTime, will not be available for download on the Fire Tablet, but many other apps are available in both. I hope this information helps, and have a great day!
