Not really, i was disappointed in the picture quality its pretty blurry, and it gets much worse in low light situations. I think the camera is the worst part of this tablet everything else is pretty good.

The camera on the Fire 8 HD will not compete with the cameras built in to the high end Galaxy or Iphones or the latest IPADs but it does a decent enough job in the right circumstances. I bought three of them for my grand daughters and used the camera to capture their images to help differentiate whose Fire belonged to who. Two of the three pictures were taken in good lighting and came out good enough to use. The third picture was taken in lower light and the picture was quite grainy. Bottom line is I would not recommend buying this for the camera capabilities. It does a decent job but not a oh wow look what a great picture this is type tablet. Where this tablet exceeds is in the capabilities versus price. The camera quality is what I would expect from a less than $100 device.
