- Answer Hi Audra! While YouTube Kids is not available on the Amazon App Store, you can access all of the great YouTube Kids content via the browser. Additionally, the Fire HD 8 Kids tablet comes with a free year of Amazon Kids+ which features a massive selection of curated Kids content, which you can filter by age range via the Parent Dashboard. - Answer Hello Kimber! Applications downloaded on Fire HD tablets must come from the Amazon Appstore. Files may also be downloaded directly from the web browser, Silk. Parental restrictions may be placed on child profiles to eliminate any unwanted access or downloading. If more space is needed, storage can be increased up to 1TB with a micro SD card. QuestionIs it easy for kiddos to turn the device off? I rather them not be able to once it's on so if in car I do not need to pull over to turn it back on. Thanks

- Answer Hi Angie! The Fire HD 8 Kids Edition works about the same as other tablets, where holding down on the power button will bring up the options to turn off or reset the tablet, while a short press will lock it. I wouldn't say it's too easy to accidentally turn it off, the case that it comes with keeps the buttons in a bit of a recess so they're unlikely to press it down just holding the tablet, but there is no way to disable the power button functionality completely. - Answer It defaults to a kids Amazon account. it doesn't run well as it is, but it's even slower and clunkier when trying to do anything on a non kids account... if you're asking why it doesn't go to 3-13 or something like that, I imagine it's because most kids have phones at that age for safety reasons. They can play games and watch YouTube in the phone these days, oldtimer...
