  • QuestionWhy is this tablet being sold with a YouTube Premium Subscription if it cannot access the YouTube Kids app and won't allow a sign in to a child's account on the YouTube app? It is a kids tablet, so if the child can't access YouTube it's falsely advertised

    • Answer Hello Laura, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the YouTube app is not available for Fire Tablets. You can download a web browser version of the app by searching for YOUTUBE in the Amazon App store while logged in to the Adult Profile. Then, you can approve it for use the same way you do other apps for the Child Profile. I hope this helps, have a nice day!

    • Answer No games are included on the tablet but it comes with a one year subscription to Amazon kids which has a zillion games and from what I hear, many are not good quality. You can search for apps outside of Amazon Kids and download those to the app.

    • Answer Hi Marisa! You can absolutely download movies to the Fire HD 8 Kids Pro tablet. The Kids Pro also features a Micro SD Card slot so you can add additional storage, making it great for long trips once you've downloaded some media ahead of time. Many video apps allow for downloading movies to watch later, and a ton of free kids media is included with the year of Amazon Kids+ that comes with the tablet.     • Answer Amazon requires you to have an adult profile on the kids tablet. You should still be able to access your profile on the Samsung as well. Go to Manage Devices in the Amazon website.

There are a lot of ways to make calls using the Fire HD 8 Kids Pro, from Alexa calling to using specific apps such as Messenger, however there is no built in phone or SMS functionality. You can also use the Amazon Parent Dashboard to restrict access to specific apps or contacts when it comes to making calls for some additional piece of mind.     • Answer Hi Mary! The Fire HD 8 Kids Pro tablet has a built in web browser that you can enable via the Parent Dashboard. From the Dashboard you can enable web access, limit and filter websites, and disable cookies to limit how your child's web activity is tracked by websites. The built in Silk Browser is a fully functional browser that they could use to do research just like they would on any other.
