Q: QuestionDoes the i-Ready works on it?

• A:Answer From the Amazon website: Yes you can. First, find videos that show you how to download app store on Fire Table. Then, you will be able to download chrome. Once Chrome is downloaded go to Iready. You will get a message that states your Browser is not supported. When this happens, change your browser from mobile to desktop site. You will be able to login from this point. My kids is currently using it. Hope it helps you too. Also, check YouTube for more visual instruction.

Q: QuestionIs this an ad powered tablet? Amazon has one for about this price but it has ads running all the time. To get rid of them theirs is $15 more. Is this $89 Fire 8” ad free?

Almost all of this type of stuff was developed with color in mind, either a smartphone or a tablet. This is why a dedicated Kindle e-reader always has a hard time with anything other than an ebook. Comixology, Press Reader, Zinio and plenty of other reading apps can be installed. If the Amazon App Store does not have your favorite app, you can sideload it into your device, or use the Silk internet browser to find it online. This is useful for fringe apps, such as manga or anime type of stuff.

• A:Answer Hello Sue! And thank you for your question regarding the Fire HD 8 tablet. This device is a fully backlit tablet that works similarly to the screen on a smart phone. You would be able to adjust the brightness settings to be able to view it in an outdoors setting. As for reading it on a beach, it is not a water resistant device and you would want to be extra careful with the charging port so take extra care and precautions before doing so but you should be able to see the screen if you adjust the brightness in the Settings.
