• Hello, Yes, you should be able to easily set notification sounds in Settings. To manage notifications, head to Settings>Sound & Notification> App Notification. Next scroll through the list of apps and tap the one you no longer want to see or hear notifications for etc etc I hope this information helps, have a great day!

• I'm not sure but it's definitely an upgrade from the 7, has a lot more features available
