The 2 big differences are the graphics capabilities and the processing power. Obviously the more expensive one is better at both. Other than that it's pretty much the same thing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Voice control remote.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I tried the Fire Stick first. Really easy to set up. However because my TV is on the second floor of the house and my router as well as access point are in the basement my wifi signal is not stable enough. The Fire Stick would show the screen freeze a lot. This $99 has memory so it streams to the device first and basically stores some of the show there first so it can smooth out what you are viewing. Hope that made sense. Anyway, it solved my problem with my home set up causing dropped signal. It was worth the extra in my case. However my daughter has the Fire Stick. It works great for her. But she is in the same room with the router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can do the same on both, the only difference that I can see is that you have a slightly bigger hard drive in the Amazon Fire TV, plus you can expand the hard drive with a memory card, compared to the stick.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the fire tv has better reception then the fire stick , fire stick would not work in my house.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.$99 for the box is 10 times better and faster
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.99.00 stream much faster then the 39.00.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The stick has little memory, the box is faster streamer then stick picture strong.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The difference is one is a stick and one is a box. Also the processors are different. The stick has a double(2) and the box has a Quad(4). The box processes faster than the stick and it also can accept a memory card for added memory.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Box has more than the stick. More internal memory, better graphics, better wifi with longer range, and a remote with voice control (voice only works with Amazon content not other apps like Netflix, a this time voice is pretty worthless in my opinion.) The new box can also do 4K / UHD if you have a 4K/ UHD TV. That being said... I think for most people that the box isn't worth the extra $60. The box might be worth it for a tv that is really far from your wifi box, or for people that want to play Amazon/ android games. I have both and I do notice that the box is slightly faster than loading menus / movies but not that much faster. I think for 80% the $40 stick is the way to go.
