• The fire TV can be Ethernet connected or wifi only. The fire tv stick is wifi only.

• Yes it can be connected via Ethernet. All 3 units in my house are connected via Ethernet. The only thing I don't like it's only a 100Mbps network interface, I wish it was 1000Mbps.
