There’s really not much of a difference. The Fire TV box runs smoother and buffers less when searching for apps.

Please try again later.The biggest difference i found was that the FIre TV Box can be used with an ethernet cable which means possibly faster internet speed and you can use Wifi while the Fire Stick is primarily only Wifi. The box also supports 4k while the stick doesn't. The stick is $40 while the box is $100. Stick has 1gb ram vs the box that has 2gb.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Fire TV has built-in RAM which makes toggling through menus and searching for anything a lot faster. It's definitely worth the extra money. I've owned both.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The difference on the Fire TV Stick versus Fire TV box are Box support ethernet, has a digital audio port , and microSD. Stick does not support have ethernet, digital audio port and does not support microSD.
