I've connected and used NUMEROUS Bluetooth headphones and portable speakers including Beats by Dre, JBL, iLive, SoundPeats and many, many other small brands and no-names you've never heard of. The best procedure is to start by turning off your Bluetooth headphones or speakers. MAKE SURE to also turn off Bluetooth on your cell phone or any other nearby devices as well (cannot stress enough the importance of this step). Next read the instructions of your Bluetooth headphones or speakers on PAIRING mode, and note any SPECIAL instructions (such as required pairing distance, unique Bluetooth identifying name, etc). Make sure your Bluetooth headphones or speakers are still turned off at this point. Next restart your Amazon Fire TV via MENU >> SETTINGS >> DEVICE >> RESTART, or simply unplug your unit for approximately 10-15 seconds. Once restarted, begin Bluetooth search on Amazon Fire TV via MENU >> SETTINGS >> CONTROLLERS & BLUETOOTH DEVICES >> OTHER BLUETOOTH DEVICES >> ADD BLUETOOTH DEVICES. Now turn on your Bluetooth headphones or speakers, make sure they're in PAIRING mode, and make sure they're within reasonable distance to the Amazon Fire TV (less than 5ft works best/fastest). The unique Bluetooth identifying name of your headphones or speakers should now be listed on-screen. Select the listed name to complete the pairing process. I've attached an example picture of when SPECIAL pairing mode instructions applied. These small details can make Bluetooth pairing quite frustrating when not followed! Moving forward, your now paired Bluetooth headphones or speakers may or may not automatically connect when turned on/off in the future. This is normal. DO NOT repeat the pairing process. If needed, make sure your Bluetooth headphones or speakers are turned on and simply re-establish connection by going to MENU >> SETTINGS >> CONTROLLERS & BLUETOOTH DEVICES >> OTHER BLUETOOTH DEVICES and selecting your listed headphones or speakers.
