• Don't have to have a cable line at all. Just need a hdmi hook up on your tv and a wifi signal to stream the apps.

• You can hook up the amazon fire tv using HDMI cable wire and will work fine without using a cable box.

• No, it has no Coax input. You need a tv that has the proper digital input for this to work..
