• You would need an anntena to watch regular/live tv. If you live near a city, a small antenna should be fine.

• No you can not watch local televisions or news. You will need an HD antenna. Around $40 or more,

• The fire TV has a few network apps you can download, but yes you would need an antenna to get your local networks.
