Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just like your smart phone it always has updates. I do know when the new sticks came out they updated the program in my 3 year old sticks and I had just about the same options as the new sticks.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The current 2.0 version has been out for a short while, and the voice activated remote is an awesome feature. I have the older version for over 2 years now and it still works great. You cant go wrong with this device
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have one straight from Amazon and this one from Best buy, both purchased within a month or two and absolutely no difference that I've noticed, especially since you'll always have the latest software from Amazon.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From what I have read the new model will not be as powerful as this older second generation model. I just bought one for my brother in law. The second generation 4k model is instantaneous in bringing up apps and probably the best of it's kind. The third generation Fire TV is designed to compete with the Chromecast with lower specs. The model I have is about as good as it gets at this point and does everything I need.
