Hello, Grandad2944! Thank you for your question. The two different postings for the 2nd generation are actually the same streaming device--one just has the updated Alexa Voice Remote with it. Both devices run exactly the same, except one has the up to date remote with the hot keys to quickly take you to your streaming services. You could definitely replace a 4K Fire TV Stick with either of these Fire TV Cubes and it will work the same way. The Fire TV Cube offers a faster processor and double the memory of your 4K Fire TV Stick, so you will see faster speeds. I hope this information helps. Have a great day!
