No. You pay for app subscriptions like netflix, etc If you already have accounts to those, make sure choose the login options otherwise it will create new subscriptions though your amazon account.

There are some apps that do have monthly subscriptions such as Netflix, Hulu and Apple TV but there are plenty off apps that are free, giving you access to over 100,000 hours of content to enjoy.
