• Hello DeanH, the Fire TV devices get power through a USB wall outlet. There is an optional accessory that can be purchased that will allow it to be powered via the USB port on your TV. It is recommended that you use the wall outlet option so that it will have constant power and get its updates when its not in use. Have a great day!
