to access local stations, you need to purchase an antenna to hook up to your TV. The Firestick can access local stations on paid cable replacement programs, such as Sling TV, etc. but only IF that program/service offers local channels. Otherwise, local channels are accessible only with a digital antenna.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use both free and paid streaming applications on this device. The device doesn't give you local channels to watch. For that you have to have an antenna attached to your TV and the device will switch you to that input for you. I use STIRR to watch morning news shows, free. The Prime Video app is streaming that is included in my Prime account. I also have IMDbtv, news, internet, YouTube, Local Now, and Crackle, all free. I also use Netflix, MotorTrend, and Disney+ as my paid apps.
