It does work with a splitter but you would have to unplug it and plug it back in at every time your going to use it.

The HDMI signal from the fire stick is coming from the wifi, through the stick, then being output to the splitter. What happens to the signal after that has nothing to do with the fire stick so I would think it would work. Haven't tried this myself though. Good luck!

Please try again later.so I am using my Fire Stick with a splitter - not quite how you want to set up - I have a LCD TV that only had one HDMI in which was in use by my cable box - I purchased a splitter which now has the Fire Stick and the cable box using 2 HDMI in ports going to the one 'out' port which is my Tv. I purchased on Amazon this: PORTTA PET0301S 3x1 Port HDMI Switch/Switcher 1080P it is compatible with this unit for my use case.
