yes. if you have 2 HDMI, you can use 1 for your cable, 1 for your fire stick. all you have to do it change the input with your remote. voice is good to have a function, you won't find it that much useful but why not!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As long as you have an available HDMI connection you can use the Fire TV Stick. So assuming your cable is using one, then you should be able to connect the Fire TV stick to the other. With voice or without is really just a matter of preference.

On many smart TV's, if you have a fire-stick plugged into one of the HDMI ports, the TV will automatically switch to that input when you press the remote. With regards to the voice input, Amazon offers an Android and iPhone App that allows you to use voice no matter which variant of the Fire-Stick you purchase. Save yourself the $10.
