• Should've proof read my previous answer. Yes you can use a shorter USB cable to power it off of the TV's USB 5v1A port. You cannot use a 5v500mA or 5v.5A port. (Yes I know that those are the same but I provided both expressions to ensure people don't get it wrong depending on how their tv ports are labeled)

• If it has a similar power requirement like the FireTV box, the 5v, 1A USB port on tv's won't have high enough power to supply it.

• Comes with its own power supply that needs to go to an outlet. The Chromecast Ultra requires more power than any TV USB can provide.
