4K TV not necessary, and even trying to stream 4K is a huge pain and requires an insane bandwidth. I have 4 of the Generation 2 Amazon TV Boxes and absolutely love them. Get on YouTube and research Kodi. Then look into Terrarium TV app, and also search GearsTV and GFSERVERS paid IPTV services. This Android based box is super stable and once you understand how to set it up you will be thrilled beyond words.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This will work on 1080p up to 4k UHD TV's. The 2015 Fire TV Box has been discontinued. This is a solid improvement over the FireTV stick but not quite as powerful as the Fire TV Box. Overall, an excellent device for the price.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Of course it will work on any TV with a HDMI input. If you have the old Fire TV don't buy the new one. The old one has more RAM but a slightly slower processor. This Unit is a good replacement for the current Firestick but not for the older Fire TV which has Ethernet input, Micro SD slot and double the Ram of the "New and not so Improved" Unit.
