The Paperwhite also offers the ability to adjust the backlighting on the Kindle creating a warmer, easier on the eyes screen. The Kindle Paperwhite is also Waterproof, where the Kindle is not. The Paperwhite is rated IPX8, which means that it's waterproof in up to 2 Meters of submersion. It also has Bluetooth if you’d like to invest in audible and listen to books also. The first picture is normal size font and the second one I added is the large size and is the biggest on the kindle. The Kindle app is also available on the Mac OS so you would be able to download the Kindle app on any of your Apple devices and it would sync across all platforms.     • Answer Hi Tbutti! While you can't download apps on the Kindle, there are a variety of puzzle books available that you can purchase. Generally these are designed to be used with the Kindle Scribe, as you can use it's included stylus to write directly onto the screen of the Scribe, but there are a few that are available that you'd use alongside a pencil and paper. The big thing to remember is that there aren't traditional apps available on the Kindle e-Readers, so if you're looking for a touch screen device for puzzles I would suggest checking out the Fire HD 8.
