• You have to pay for most books, but amazon has some books at no cost and there are websites which offer free legal copies. Check different websites, some have cheaper prices...esp for older books.

• You have to pay. If you look on Amazon you can see the prices. Just search the kindle store. If you are a prime member some books are free.
