• There is a notch in the cover that allows for charging with the cover in place.

• I do not understand your question, first you do not have to access any battery, to do so would, I am sure, void the warranty. It charges by a USB cord, a light appears to tell you it is charging and turns green when completed. If you purchase a cover for your Kindle Oasis, it is for protection, has nothing to do with a battery.
