As far as I know, it does not. I just purchased a new paperwhite and I can only listen or read at any given time on the device. It's very frustrating, because the assistive reader generates a robotic voice that highlights the text as it reads, but this feature does not work with a purchased, professional reader. It will not even play the audio at all, from the same device as reading.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So if the book is coming from kindle unlimited with the included audiobook it would work? That’s what I use on my phone but prefer to read on the paperwhite screen. I got the colorsoft and it doesn’t allow the immersion reading. I don’t purchase the audiobooks and ebooks but rather consume them together when offered on KU. I’m really sad the colorsoft doesn’t have the option.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does if the book you download has Whispersync.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello JullyJubilee, Yes, The Kindle Paperwhite does support Immersive Reading. In order to use this feature, you will need to do the following when you purchase your books: - Buy a Kindle eBook that supports Whispersync for Voice - Buy the audiobook at the same time as the Kindle eBook - Download the audiobook in your Kindle player - Play the downloaded audio to listen while you read I hope this helps!
