• in order to download the books to the ereader, you need wifi but once they are downloaded(takes a minute or so depending on the connection), you dont need internet

• You only need to have access to the internet to download books, but after that you can read all you want without internet!

• You only have to be connected to the internet to purchase books. Once the book is downloaded you can read offline.

• No it doesn't need the Internet, you can transfer ebooks via the cable. You will need the file first so getting it from project Gutenberg.
