I would say yes! It is very easy to control the font size, and the max setting of the backlight makes it very visible with crisp text. The max font size is very very large, sometimes only fitting a few words on the whole screen. If you have low vision, I suggest this over the original kindle due to backlighting and a more advanced screen.
