The ebook is cheaper than a physical book. The author should be paid for her creative effort. You can borrow and download books from the public library for free. I wanted to make sure I could so I searched how to do it and tried it. And I was able to do it. Ask your local librarian.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Kindle is only the device to read the book and doesn't entitle you to free reads. eBooks cost money because authors like to get paid when you read their book. $8 is actually not bad for a eBook, especially if it's a popular author.
