You can use the Kindle Paperwhite Kids as a Kindle Paperwhite as they are the same device, but the Kindle Paperwhite Kids includes 6 months of Amazon Kids+, a kid-friendly cover, and a 2-year worry-free guarantee. During initial setup, bypass the option to set up a Kids profile. This should allow you to set up and use the Paperwhite as an adult. If you are interested in taking advantage of the Kids+ subscription, you can set up a generic Kids profile. You can navigate between the 2 profiles in the Kindle menu aby going to Settings -> Amazon Household -> Scroll down to the Kids profile name -> Start Reading. I hope this helps, have a great day!
