• Yes, it's the version that contains ads. But once you've registered the Kindle on your Amazon account, you can easily pay an extra $20 to remove the ads. This is what I did the day I received it. It's a bit galling to have to pay extra to remove ads on such an expensive device, as I think a premium product should not bother you with so-called "special offers".
