No, it does not. you have to press the mic button to turn on Alexa

Yes; I just pull up the app and select the music I want from anywhere in the house.

No you have to push the Tap Button. But it does have separate Volume up/down...play/pause...skip/replay buttons. And you do not have to say Alexa after you Tap...Just say what you want.
