• Yes, if you update the bios first. The bios that supports this cpu came out November 2019 so if your bios is older than that, you'll need to update.

• Yes, if you have updated the Bios on the Motherboard. Their Bios Version 7C02V19 Released 2019-07-10 added support for this CPU. In general it's one of the things I like about the AM4 socket as it's long lived through many generations of cpu upgrades. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/b450-tomahawk
