• I think you may need a new motherboard and I suspect the Ryzens are much faster.. my benchmarks show much faster, by at least a three to one margin with the Ryzen 3s.

• NO!! This is a new type of CPU, you will need a motherboard with a AM4 socket and a AMD 500 type chipset. Microsoft also requires Windows 10 only with this CPU. Sorry.
