That depends on a few key items. If the motherboard contains an AM4 socket is necessary and if the motherboard bios is up to date enough that it covers this processor. If the motherboard does not have built in video graphics then you would not be able to use the graphics capability in this processor and you would need a separate video graphics card.

However you can verify by doing the following: 1 In the start menu, search “system information” 2 find your motherboard model (system manufacturer and system type) and or cpu (processor). 3 use google to find sites selling these products and look at the spec sheets to determine if they are compatible. In this case you are looking for support for the socket type AM4 (socket is the connector on the motherboard for the cpu)
