I run modern warfare and several other games on this cpu and havent run into any performance issues. Most of the games I'm running are on high or epic graphics as well. For a starting build this is a good cpu, I wouldnt recommend it for v.r. but standard gaming its great

Most games today only operate on at most a quad-core processor, with a few going to 6 cores. You shouldn't notice any difference based on the processor for that game, such as lag or anything like that. I have experience with the Ryzen 5 2600, and these are a solid processors.

Also had it paired with 32gbs of ram. Im running a 2080 with ryzen 5 3600 and 64 gbs of ram and so far play every game ultra settings with no issues.
